12th results announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for the class 12 board examinations for the year 2023. The much-awaited results were announced on Wednesday, May 12, 2023.

The total pass percentage is 87.33% where as the pass percentage in Chandigarh is 91.84% a much higher than the national average The CBSE’s Chandigarh region includes the state of Punjab and Union Territories (UTs) Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Nationally, the overall pass percentage has unfortunately dropped from 92.71% last year to 87.33% this year. However, the Chandigarh region has recorded a higher pass percentage compared to the national average.

Dealing with the national trend of a dip in overall pass percentage, both Chandigarh and Panchkula regions have witnessed a lower pass percentage compared to last year. Last year, the Chandigarh region recorded a pass percentage of 95.98%, which means this year’s figures saw a 4% dip. However, the Panchkula region has witnessed a steeper decline of 7% compared to 94.08% last year.

With the results announced of class 12 th the students are now solely focused on results and exams related to college entrances.

No toppers announced this year

“As per the earlier decision of the Board to avoid unhealthy competition among students, no merit list is declared by the CBSE. Also, the Board is not awarding first, second, or third divisions to its students. However, the board will issue the merit certificate to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in the subjects.”

Where to check the results

It is important for candidates to note that the CBSE Board Results 2023 will be released on the official website – cbse.nic.in. The ones who appeared for the CBSE 12th board exams can also get their results through SMS and even the Digi lockers of the students will have the results updated in them.

In case a student is not satisfied with the result they can make use of the Cbse policy of submitting their application for rechecking of the papers. After consulting the school.
