Often we get a call from banks or fraud companies about buying some shares in the markets or getting personal loans or any type of loan. Some of the unknown numbers are being called and then they talk with those people with their changed voices. Many fraud agencies use Facebook profile information such as name, father’s name as well as the address for trapping the customer so that they get into the trap of buying a loan offer or interest-free loan. In return, they ask for the bank account number and ask for their Adhar card number as well. They crash into their bank account and start transferring money into their account.
There is a menace of mis-selling insurance and there are many ways to curb it. Insurance Samadhan is one way to curb the loss if anyone has gone through fraud calls and lost their money because of interest-free loans etc. Nowadays online fraud is booming especially in India! I think it’s high time to bring stricter laws on online fraud and spam. There are certain apps given in Play Store that can help in identifying the spammer account. Whenever asked for email IDs we shouldn’t be giving email IDs of ourselves everywhere as many hackers use email IDs to snatch out all personal information and can hack the google account too. Many places you go for shopping as well they would ask for your number but we must be careful to whom we are circulating our number too as it might be for a reason to take out personal information regarding bank details too and can be misused. Remember, the fraudsters have your full card number, expiry date, and security code, so if they try to ‘prove’ they’re real, they may even put a transaction through during the call.
If you’re told to
Delete your app for security reasons
Wait for a new PIN through the post
Do not worry about notifications relating to unrecognized transactions
Wait for a call back in a few days
You shouldn’t be following these steps for anything. Following some steps can help you rescue from fraud.
