Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana Issued With Red Warning .

The winters have been showing their true colors . With the onset of the winter season, the cold waves have left people shivering. In the past couple of weeks, the chilly winds of Delhi has been giving people a hard time.The dense and cold fog has been hovering over the area . People have been having low visibility.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued monthly forecast that there are chances of temperature going below normal over many parts of northwest India during the full January of 2023.

The predictions have been held out to be true so far facing severe cold wave conditions. According to the current IMD forecasts, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions will prevail in some areas of the above mentioned states. It is mentioned that the minimum temperature in Delhi will be probably stay consistently below 4-5 degrees till Saturday.

Amid these severe winter conditions prevailing in these states , the IMD (Indian Meteorogical Department) has issued a red warning over these regions of Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana. The reasons of the red warning are due to the severe cold waves as well as the dense fog that has been there all over these regions . There are strong chances of visibility to drop to almost zero in the morning and night time.

But these cold waves are not the only things giving a hard time to the people of Delhi. The bad air quality of air has been contributing to a great extent in the uneasiness of the people. There has been very poor AQI( Air Quality Index) of 353.

Residents are advised to take precautionary steps to keep themselves safe in this atmosphere. Going out in fog should be avoided, and if strictly necessary , citizens are required to take care while driving . They are advised to drive slow and moreover take care of their health. This winter season comes up with various health problems for people with low immunity levels.
