Sara Ali Khan Wraps Up Shooting for Ae Watan Mere Watan

Actress Sara Ali Khan has completed shooting for her upcoming film Ae Watan Mere Watan, where she portrays the role of a valiant freedom fighter during the Quit India Movement in 1942. The film is a thriller drama, inspired by true events and is an Amazon original movie. The screenplay has been written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer, who is also directing the film. Ae Watan Mere Watan is being produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta with Somen Mishra serving as the co-producer.

After wrapping up Murder Mubarak, Sara has been busy working on multiple projects. She will be seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in Laxman Utekar’s next titled Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and will also feature in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino. The actress is set to resume shooting for the latter in mid-May.

Sara took to her Instagram account to express her gratitude for the opportunity to play such a powerful character, saying, “Thank you Kannan sir for choosing me to portray this powerful character; a true personification of strength, dignity and passion. Some parts stay etched in our souls, and I know I will carry this one with me forever…Jai Bholenath.”

Fans are eagerly waiting to see Sara’s performance in Ae Watan Mere Watan and are excited to see the actress portray a strong and inspiring character on the big screen.
