Actress Radhika Apte recently appeared on the popular chat show Desi Vibes with Shehnaaz Gill to promote her latest film Mrs. Undercover. During her conversation with Shehnaaz, Radhika spoke about body positivity and the societal taboo around nudity and bold scenes in films.

Shehnaaz praised Radhika for her graceful performances in bold scenes and asked her how she manages to do it. In response, Radhika said that she doesn’t think there’s anything to be ashamed of regarding our bodies. She stated that it’s an ugly thing that society has put on us to be ashamed of our own bodies and that we should respect it as our instrument. Radhika emphasized that she feels very liberated to be able to express herself using her body, whether clothed or not.

Furthermore, Radhika also revealed that her parents are doctors and that they have always supported her work, never questioning her choice to do bold scenes. She stressed that people who believe our bodies should be kept reserved are very regressive and that she loves herself and her body.

Radhika’s latest film Mrs. Undercover is a spy comedy that premiered on April 14th on Zee5. The movie also stars Sumeet Vyas and Rajesh Sharma. On the other hand, Shehnaaz Gill recently made her Bollywood debut with the film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which features Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.

Desi Vibes with Shehnaaz Gill has gained popularity in recent months, with various Bollywood actors appearing on the show. The show provides a platform for celebrities to discuss their work and personal lives in a more relaxed and informal setting.
