In a significant breakthrough, the Punjab Police, in collaboration with a central security agency, successfully apprehended five terror operatives associated with Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Goldy Brar. The arrested operatives, whose names have yet to be disclosed by the Special Operations Cell (SSOC), were found in possession of two foreign-made pistols, a magazine, and 10 live cartridges. According to preliminary investigations, these individuals were receiving financial assistance from the United States (US), raising concerns about the international scope of the terror network.

Apart from their connection to Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Goldy Brar, the arrested operatives were reportedly receiving support and weapons consignments from across the border. The case against them has been registered under the relevant sections of the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) at the SSOC’s Amritsar police station.
