Prime Minister Narendra Modi became visibly emotional as he interacted with the team of dedicated scientists who played a pivotal role in the triumphant Chandrayaan-3 mission. The event took place at the command centre of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru.

During the poignant interaction, PM Modi expressed his pride in India’s remarkable achievement, declaring, “India is on the Moon. We have our national pride placed on the Moon.” He lauded the mission’s success as an extraordinary milestone in the annals of India’s space endeavours, highlighting the historical significance of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

The Chandrayaan-3 lander, christened ‘Vikram’, accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully landing on the unexplored lunar South Pole after a 40-day voyage through space. This landmark achievement has not only made India the first nation to achieve such a feat but has also positioned the country as a trailblazer in space exploration.

Notably, at the time of the Vikram lander’s touchdown on the Moon, Prime Minister Modi was attending the BRICS Summit in South Africa. However, he virtually joined the ISRO scientists during the event and subsequently traveled to Greece for bilateral discussions.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Bengaluru from Greece directly, upon his return, showcased his unwavering commitment to acknowledging and honouring the relentless dedication of ISRO scientists. Before making his way to the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), PM Modi addressed a gathering outside the HAL Airport.

In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Chandrayaan-3 mission has garnered enthusiasm not only from Indians but also from individuals worldwide who hold a strong belief in science, envision a brighter future, and are dedicated to the progress of humanity. The achievement of Chandrayaan-3 not only underscores India’s technological prowess but also resonates with the global scientific community’s pursuit of knowledge and exploration.

The emotional address by Prime Minister Modi is a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of the scientists who relentlessly pursued this audacious mission. Their dedication and the mission’s success have ushered India into a new era of space exploration, solidifying its position on the global stage of scientific achievements.

Conclusion

The achievement of Chandrayaan-3 serves as an inspiration for both current and future generations of scientists, reminding the world of the remarkable potential of human innovation and determination.
