In a recent release, the IMD highlighted the alarming drop in visibility, falling below 200 meters in various regions such as Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal, and Sikkim, particularly at 5:30 am on Monday.
The release indicates that very dense fog is anticipated in significant parts of Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Sikkim. Additionally, dense fog has already been reported in areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu division, West Rajasthan, Delhi, West Madhya Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh. Moderate fog has also been observed in isolated regions of Assam and Jharkhand.
