Pakistan women crosses border illegally for love

In a heartfelt plea, Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who crossed into India with her four children to be with her Indian lover, has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath not to send her back to Pakistan. Haider denies any involvement in espionage activities and maintains that she only sought to reunite with her partner.

Seema Haider’s journey to India began in May when she clandestinely entered the country from Nepal with her four children. Her motivation for making the crossing was her affection for her Indian lover, Sachin Meera, whom she initially met while playing the online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). The couple’s deep connection prompted Haider to take a risky step to be with him.

Unfortunately, their love story faced a major setback when Indian authorities arrested Seema Haider on July 4 for illegal entry into the country, as she lacked a valid visa. Sachin Meera, too, faced legal repercussions for providing shelter to undocumented immigrants. However, both were granted bail shortly afterward and have since been residing together in Greater Noida.

Seema Haider’s case has caught the attention of intelligence agencies, who are investigating possible connections with the Pakistan Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Haider adamantly refutes the allegations of being a spy and believes the truth will eventually vindicate her.

Speaking exclusively to India Today/Aaj Tak during an interview, Seema Haider expressed her concerns about returning to Pakistan, fearing for her safety. “If anyone in Pakistan would have come to know that I was going to India, they would have killed me. I am not a spy, soon the truth will come out,” she asserted. In a direct appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Haider earnestly requested not to be sent back to her home country.

Despite facing intensive questioning by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad for over six hours, Seema Haider maintained her innocence. She acknowledged crossing the border illegally but cited her desperation to leave Pakistan as the driving force behind her actions. “I crossed over illegally as I had no option. I didn’t want to live in Pakistan. I didn’t hide any information from my past,” Haider clarified.

The situation has garnered significant public attention, sparking discussions on immigration policies and the delicate balance between security concerns and humanitarian considerations. Haider’s plea raises questions about how the Indian authorities should handle cases involving undocumented immigrants who seek refuge out of personal circumstances, particularly when espionage allegations are involved.

As the legal proceedings continue, the Indian government and law enforcement agencies are facing a complex decision about Seema Haider’s fate. Her plea to remain with her Indian lover has struck a chord with many, prompting debates on the human aspect of such cases.

For now, Seema Haider awaits further legal developments while hoping that her innocence will be proven, allowing her to continue her life with her partner in India. Meanwhile, the Indian authorities continue their investigation to determine the true nature of her actions and any potential links to espionage activities.
