A tragic accident occurred in Lucknow when a billboard fell on a car, resulting in the death of a mother and her daughter, while their driver sustained injuries. The incident took place near Ekana Stadium in the Sushant Golf City police station area.

Preeti Jaggi (38) and her daughter Angel (15), residents of Indira Nagar colony in the Ghazipur police station area, were traveling to a mall accompanied by their driver Sartaj (28) when the accident happened. The falling billboard struck their Scorpio vehicle, leading to the fatalities. Sartaj was injured in the incident and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police have initiated legal proceedings regarding the accident.

The tragic incident took place in the evening, as reported by Gosaiganj Assistant Commissioner of Police (ASP) Amit Kumawat. The billboard, located in front of gate number two of Ekana Stadium, collapsed onto the vehicle, causing the fatal outcome. The identities of the deceased victims were confirmed as Preeti Jaggi and her daughter Angel.

The injured driver, Sartaj, was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention. The authorities are now investigating the incident and will take further legal action as required. The accident has left the community in shock and mourning over the loss of the mother and daughter.

The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers posed by structures like billboards and the importance of ensuring their proper installation and maintenance to prevent such accidents. The authorities will likely review safety protocols and regulations related to billboards and other structures in public spaces to avoid similar incidents in the future.

This tragic accident highlights the need for heightened awareness and adherence to safety measures to protect individuals on the road and prevent such unfortunate events from occurring again.
