Metro Pillar Falls on Bike, Two Killed

A news of a metro pillar falling on a family of four while travelling on a bike has shocked the internet . A family of four people was on the bike travelling when a metro pillar fell on the bike hitting the two of the family members taking their lives. The fallen pillar had taken the lives of Tejaswini (28) and Vihan, .The whole family is devastated.

Details of the case.

A metro pillar had fallen on a family who was travelling . It took the lives of Tejaswini and Vihan . Tejaswani was supposed to go to her office that day when the accident happened. The other two people that were saved from the accident were Lohith and Sushmita.

The whole family is devastated. ” Our lives are devastated. He joined play school 10 days ago. ” This said Nirmala Solake, a retired government employee ,witnessed this horror of losing her daughter-in-law and a two and a half year old grandson in this accident.

Nirmala came to Bengaluru from north Karnataka a few days ago with her husband Vijay Solake who is a retired government employee. Deputy Commissioner of Police Bheemashankar stated “The incident took place around 10:30 am. As they were travelling , the scaffolding around the pillar snapped. Tejaswini and Vihan were sitting on the rear seat of the bike, and the pillar fell on them .”

“Lohith and his daughter managed to escape . Tejaswini and Vihan were taken to a hospital on the other side of the road. But the doctors declared them brought dead. “

BMRCL ( Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited) Managing Director Anjum Parwez visited the spot and stated that a team of people at IISc (Indian institute of Science) will be asked to investigate the incident. The BMRCL chief announced Rs. 20 lakhs in compensation for the victim’s family. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced another compensation of Rs. 10 lakh from the Chief Ministers relief fund for the victim family.
