Home Minister Amit Shah is set to preside over the second ‘Chintan Shivir’ of senior officers from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The objective of this meeting is to discuss the action plan for the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vision 2047’. This vision aims to transform India into a developed nation by 2047, as outlined in the ‘Vision Document of India@2047’.
During the meeting, there will be a comprehensive review of the progress made in fulfilling the instructions given by Shah in a previous discussion. The focus will be on assessing the status of compliance and identifying areas that require further attention. This interactive session aims to engage senior officers and evolve a detailed action plan for the implementation of the Prime Minister’s vision.
In an earlier address this year, PM Modi highlighted the importance of water security as part of the ‘India@2047’ plan. He emphasized the “5P” mantra, which includes political will, public financing, partnerships, public participation, and persuasion for sustainability. This holistic approach is envisioned to address the challenges of water security effectively.
In a previous ‘Chintan Shivir’ held on April 18, Shah conducted a thorough review of various aspects of the ministry’s functioning. This included assessing the performance of the dashboard, Government Land Information System, budget utilization, e-office implementation, and special recruitment drive, among others. Additionally, the work of different divisions, their priorities, and deliverables for the upcoming years were evaluated. Shah also discussed the ministry’s position on Aatmanirbhar Bharat, various budget announcements, important pending issues, and stressed the need for developing an ecosystem for cybercrime management, modernization of police forces, increased use of information technology in the criminal justice system, and effective management of land borders and coastal security.
The second ‘Chintan Shivir’ under Amit Shah’s leadership reaffirms the government’s commitment to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision. By engaging with senior officers, addressing compliance issues, and devising an action plan, the government aims to ensure effective implementation of policies and initiatives that will lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. This strategic approach aligns with the government’s focus on key areas such as water security, cybercrime management, modernization of police forces, and overall national security.
