Hans Meiser: The Pioneer of German Talk Shows

Hans Meiser was a German radio and television personality who is widely regarded as the pioneer of the talk show in Germany. He hosted a number of successful talk shows in the 1990s, including “Hans Meiser” and “Notruf”. His shows were known for their focus on everyday people and their stories, and they helped to make talk shows a popular form of entertainment in Germany.

Meiser was born in Bad Rothenfelde, Germany, in 1946. He began his career in radio in the 1970s, and he moved to television in the 1980s. In 1992, he launched his own talk show, “Hans Meiser”, which quickly became a hit. The show featured interviews with ordinary people from all walks of life, and it was known for its down-to-earth style.

In 1995, Meiser launched another successful talk show, “Notruf”. The show featured guests who were seeking help with personal problems, and it was known for its compassion and empathy. Meiser’s talk shows were groundbreaking in Germany, and they helped to change the way that people viewed talk shows.

Meiser retired from television in 2001, but he continued to work in radio. He died in 2023 at the age of 77.
