Gold Prices in India Experience a Decline, Silver Prices Witness an Increase

According to Goodreturns, the cost of 10 grams of 22-carat gold in India has decreased to ₹55,550, while the same quantity of 24-carat gold is now priced at ₹60,600.

The cost of 8 grams of 22-carat gold is ₹44,440, and for 24-carat gold, it is ₹48,480.

In contrast, the cost of 100 grams of silver has risen to ₹7,300.

Let’s take a look at the gold and silver prices in some important cities:

  • Delhi: ₹55,650 for 22K/10 grams and ₹7,300 for silver per 100 grams.
  • Mumbai: ₹55,550 for 22K/10 grams and ₹7,300 for silver per 100 grams.
  • Kolkata: ₹55,550 for 22K/10 grams and ₹7,300 for silver per 100 grams.
  • Chennai: ₹55,940 for 22K/10 grams and ₹7,700 for silver per 100 grams.
  • Bengaluru: ₹55,600 for 22K/10 grams and ₹7,700 for silver per 100 grams.

Gold prices in India are determined by reputed jewellers and are influenced by various factors such as global demand, currency fluctuations, interest rates, and government policies.

In the previous month, on April 14, the price of 22K gold reached its highest rate at ₹56,650, while 24K gold was priced at ₹61,800 on the same day. The lowest rate for 22K gold in the month was recorded at ₹54,700 on April 3, and for 24K gold, it was ₹59,670 on the same day.
