The Delhi Police found Lt. Gen. Shantanu Dayal after long hours of desperate search for him. The police officials even put an alert of his missing on the social media.
Details of the case.
Lt Gen. Shantanu Dayal had been missing from his home on friday. His family members stated that he went out of his house near Sunheri Bagh Road in the evening at around 6;30 pm . When he did not come home till 12’o clock , his family members decided to go to the police station to file a missing FIR . After which , the police had begun their search . He was found the next day at approximately around 6:30 pm.
The Police Officials even put up alerts on the social media in order to find him. Shantanu was last seen around 9:15 pm on friday near his house . He wore a white jacket and black trousers.
“It seemed that the reason for him disappearing was initially because of a disagreement in his home due to which he left home” said the sources. The senior police officer said, ” He has not told anybody till now that why he left the house and where he went. On the way to returning back at home , he told the officials that he was exhausted and wanted to return back . at that time he was in his senses.”
Little backstory about Dayal.
It gen Shantanu Dayal of the army’s garhwal rifles had an important positions in his career . He was an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune . In 1983, he was commissioned as the infantry officer . He even commanded the Tejpur- based four corps that looks after the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh .After that, he was made a deputy Chief of the Army staff ( Capability Development and Sustenance ). He later retired holding the same position too.
Current Scenario
Shantanu lives in the official residence with his wife and daughter. It was said that he was still sleeping when the officials tried to be in touch with him. The alerts on the social media were also removed by the police officials when he was found.
