The low atmospheric circulation has caused the Tamiraparani river to overflow, affecting districts like Nellai and Thoothukudi.
Mari Selvaraj, a native of Tirunelveli, has taken the lead in aiding the rescue operations, standing alongside Sports Minister Udayanidhi Stalin. The flood situation in Tirunelveli has been exacerbated by continuous rains over the past two days. It is difficult to enter the next villages as the speed of the flood is not slowing down. People should be brave and safe until dawn.”
