Bharat Pe CEO Suhail Sameer Steps Down

The Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Bharat Pe Suhail Sameer who had a fall out with Ashneer Grover the former co founder, quits from his position and will now has taken over the position of The Strategic Advisor with effect from 7 January 2023.

the company stayed in a statement “this will ensure smooth transition for the current CFO, Nalin Negi who has been appointed interim CEO to partner with senior executives to bolster execution in all phases of the company’s business”.

Before Sameer’s resignation , the company had seen several top level exits in recent times. Rajat Jain , The Chief Product officer for loans and consumer goods, Vijay Aggarwal, The Chief Technology Officer, Nehul Malhotra, the head of Postpe, all have resigned from the company.

Rajnish Kumar, The Chairman of the Bharat Pe board stated that ” Nalin’s experience in the fintech industry makes him a natural choice to lead the company during our search process”.

Earlier , Ashneer Grover (the former co-founder) who has been dealing with the issues of allegations of misappropriation of funds . Since all these allegations involving the company ,from then onwards there has been this outgoing of the top level executives

Sameer was hired by Ashneer Grover .

The outgoing CEO further added that he would remain committed to supporting the company. Sameer who was previously the CEO of the FMCG business at RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group, joined BharatPe as a President in 2020 and was later made a The Chief Executive Officer
