Bollywood movies have predicted many stories related to our lives, based on reality or based on our stories. In the audience too, many of the people’s sentiments or religious sentiments or religious thoughts are joined with Bollywood movies.
Therefore whatever Bollywood movies are shown they leave a greater impact on the viewers as it affects the society’s culture, traditions as well as sentiments.
Some of the movies cross their limits and lines for coming into the limelight. That’s why censorship is very important after movie making. Till now, the censorship body would give the movie to the central board of film certification. But the new bill which is going to be passed according to the cinematograph censorship bill,2021 after this making the movie will be a much more tough job.
These new rules say that:-
- The movie certification after the censor board will be transferred to the central government for review.
- If they found as such the central government will again send the movie to the censor board to re-examine it, which means super censorship.
- The new provision is just adding one more layer of censorship with the cinematographic amendment bill.
- a movie should be watched as a movie and not all movies are supposed to be taken as teaching for morals or inspiration.
Many of those objecting, including BJP leaders, have charged what they dub “love jihad”, pointing towards the Hindu actress and Muslim actor’s pairing and their “saffron” and “green” outfits in the song ‘Besharam Rang’. They’ve called for a boycott of the film, or possibly of Bollywood as a whole.
Movies were made as entertainment sources for the public. everyone looks at their perspective of watching movies and relating to their lives. As earlier too supreme court has stated in its statements if any movie hurts religious sentiments or people’s emotions people should not see it. Pathan isn’t banned. it is just being boycotted.CBFC has just asked to change some scenes in their review.
