The message of remix in Bollywood films has been increasing since many years and there are many such films in which powerful South films are made and presented at the box office and those films also rock the box office. Today we are telling you about some such films which were released in South, but have gained more popularity than their return to Bollywood.

Maro Charitra – For Each Other

South’s veteran actress Kamal Haasan has been working in Tamil films since 1959. After a long time in 1981, he started working in Hindi films. At that time Kamal Haasan was seen in the film ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. In this film, the audience noticed not only Kamal, but for the first time molester SP Balasubramaniam. This film was directed by Balachandra. The film was a remake of ‘Maro Charitra‘, in which Kamal Haasan played the lead role.

Alaipayuthey – Saathiya

It is a remake of Queen Mukherjee and Vivek Oberoi starrer film ‘Saathiya’. Very few people know, but this film was already taken up by the South Industry. It has been made a remake version of the Tamil film Alaipayuthey. This original Tamil version of the film was produced by Mani Ratnam. R Madhavan and Shalini were seen in the lead roles in the film.

Still Happy – Legacy

There is also a South remake of Bollywood film ‘Virasat’. In the south this film was directed by Bharatnath. The name of this film in South is ‘Thevar Magan‘. In the year 1997, Bollywood director Priyadarshan made the Hindi version of this film. The film was named ‘Virasat’, in which Anil Kapoor and Tabu played the lead roles.

Maryada Ramanna – Son Of Sardaar

The film ‘Maryada Ramanna‘ was produced by Kingmouli in 2008. Kingmouli was counted among the talented action directors. His film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ became such a big hit that four Akash Ganga films were made on it. Very few people know that the name of this film was made in Bollywood as ‘Son of Sardaar’, which was a huge hit at the box office.

Ready – Ready

Ready is Telugu film released in 2008. This action romantic comedy was directed by Srinu Vaitla. The film stars Ram and Genelia D’Souza. The film gained positive response from the audience and became one of the top grosser films in 2008.
It was remade as in Hindi with the same title. Released in the year 2011, Ready (Hindi) was directed by Anees Bazmee and starred Salman Khan and Asin in the lead roles. It became one of the super hit films of the year 2011.

Main Tera Hero (Bollywood- South Films )

Kandireega – Main Tera Hero

Kandireega is a romantic comedy film released in the year 2011. The film is directed by Santosh Srinivas and starred Ram, Hansika Motwani and Aksha Pardasany in the lead roles. Kandireega received good response from the critics as well as the audience and went on to become successful at the box office.
The Hindi remake of Kandireega was titled Main Tera Hero. The film directed by David Dhawan released in 2014 and starred Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri.
