Congress MP Dies During Bharat Jodo Andolan.

A Congress MP Santokh Singh, dies of heart attack during the foot march in Punjab’s Phillaur . After suffering from heart attack , he was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. He was former was the MP and former Punjab minister.

Based in Ludhiyana, the Congress MP suffered an heart attack during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Andolan . This happened in Punjab on the morning of 14 January. He was of the age of 76.

What Happened?

During the foot march of Bharat Jodo Andolan in Punjab’s Phillaur , Santokh Singh collapsed and fell. He then was taken to the hospital in Phagwara . He died there later. a party leader told in his statement that Rahul Gandhi also arrived at the hospital where the former MP was admitted. The Bharat Jodo yatra has been suspended for the time being.

The Bharat Jodo March was stated in Punjab on Wednesday at Fatehgarh Sahib.

The Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted his condolences “Deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the untimely passing away of Santokh Singh Chaudhry. His loss is a big blow to the party and organization . In the hour of grief , my heart goes out to his family, friends and followers.

May his soul rest in peace.”

Moreover many other congress leaders expressed their grieves .

Santokh Singh Chaudhary , aged 76, Congress MP from Jalandhar , passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest during the Bharat Jodo Andolan this morning . There will be some changes in the yatra that will be shared shortly.” said Jairam Ramesh , congress leader.

Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla stated, ” I express my grief in the death of Santokh Singh, the former congress MP and minister. May god provide peace to the deceased .My condolences to the friends and family members “.

According to the updates, the last rites of the former congress MP and Minister will be performed at his village on Sunday.
