Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) discussed with Chief Minister Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday regarding landslide in Joshimath. After this incident, the Prime Minister assured Dhami of any possible help Uttarakhand leader, Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said: “Prime Minister Modi spoke to me over the phone. He asked about the situation in Joshimath, the steps are being taken to recover and ensure the security of people.” The leader of Uttarakhand, Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, said: “The situation in Joshimath is being analysed. We were also able to see if different hill towns reached their tolerance limit. He said: “Prime Minister Modi has promised all possible help to Joshimath.” The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will hold a high-level meeting on Sunday on the following crisis landslides and residential cracking in the Joshimath area of ​​Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. Upon legitimate request, Prime Minister PK Mishra’s top secretary will hold a review meeting with cabinet secretaries, senior officials from key agencies, members of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Senior officials from the Joshimath District Government and the Uttarakhand Government will attend the meeting video conference. Chief Minister Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami also visited Joshimath the previous day and reviewed the scenario. A day earlier, he instructed the immediate relocation of about 600 affected families to safe locations. Minister Dhami has instructed the establishment of a coordination committee for rescue of those people who lived in houses affected by landslide. Meanwhile, Joshimath is at an elevation of 6150 feet in the Chamauli district of Uttarakhand. It is the gateway to Badrinath, one of the holiest Chard hams for Hindus. In this village of 20,000 people, there are 500 houses with such large cracks. Over the years, hydropower projects, and other constructions have improved in the surrounding area. A total of 66 families were migrated from Joshimath due to a crack in their residence.
