An 18-year-old youth was tragically stabbed to death in Kalyanpuri, with initial reports suggesting an old enmity as the motive behind the attack. The incident occurred on Saturday, and details about the attackers, including their age, remain unknown at this time, according to the police.
Authorities received a distress call at 5:11 am, alerting them to multiple stab wounds inflicted upon a young man identified as Anshu, also known as Banda, from Trilokpuri. The police swiftly arrived at the scene and rushed Anshu to LBS Hospital for immediate medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), where he was later pronounced dead, revealed Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Amrutha Guguloth.
In his last moments, Anshu provided crucial information to the police, disclosing that he had been attacked by a group of four to five youths. The authorities have formed two dedicated teams to apprehend the assailants and bring them to justice.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the attack was fueled by an existing feud between the assailants and the victim. However, the precise cause of the enmity will only be ascertained upon the capture of the attackers, as stated by the police.
Anshu’s untimely demise has left his family shattered. He is survived by his father, mother, and three siblings, who are now mourning the loss of their beloved son and brother. Anshu’s cousin, Vishal, shared that the tragic incident occurred while Anshu was out for a morning walk.
Vishal expressed his concerns, stating that they suspect a local resident from the area to be responsible for the heinous act, as they had received threats from this individual in the past. He further revealed that the family had recently encountered another attack, adding to their distress. Vishal emphasized the urgency of apprehending the attackers and ensuring they face appropriate consequences for their actions.
Shivani, Anshu’s cousin sister, expressed her lack of knowledge regarding the identity of the assailants. However, she mentioned hearing rumors linking someone from the locality to the incident. The police have scheduled Anshu’s post-mortem examination to take place on Sunday to gather further evidence for their investigation.
