In Tronglaobi Bishnupur district on Thursday , a fresh incident of violence was reported , the incident had taken place at about 10 in the morning as a few miscreants had open fired at the police station and The Manipur State Police Commandos received information that a few miscreants were hiding in a hill area. According to reports, when the police reached the spot, they opened fire at the police.
One police commando, identified as Hiren, was killed while five others were injured in a gun battle between the Manipur Police commando and a few miscreants. The casualty cases are yet to be confirmed, claimed the police.
The police suspect the involvement of militant groups behind the attack. This incident was reported by Anupam Mishra of India Today.
