A medical clinic in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro has been targeted by a missile strike, resulting in the death of at least two people and injuries to 23 others. Among the injured are two boys aged three and six. The strike comes amidst escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with an anticipated Ukrainian counteroffensive. Ukrainian authorities reported a series of missile attacks and drone launches from Russia, with 17 missiles and 31 drones successfully intercepted. The cities of Dnipro, Kharkiv, and the capital, Kyiv, were targeted, causing damage to an oil depot, a shopping center, houses, and cars. In response, Ukraine shot down multiple drones and missiles. In Russia, a blast occurred in the city of Krasnodar, which was attributed to two Ukrainian drones, damaging a residential and office building but causing no casualties or critical infrastructure damage.
The Belgorod region in Russia, where an incursion from Ukrainian territory recently occurred, was also targeted, with the village of Kozinka being struck over 130 times. One woman was reported injured. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange fire and engage in military actions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the missile strike on the medical clinic, accusing Russian terrorists of disregarding humanity and honesty. Rescue operations are underway to locate two missing individuals, and authorities are assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attacks.
