The Council for Skills and Competencies (CSC India) Recognizes Educational Excellence at the Teachers Day Awards 2024

Visakhapatnam, The Council for Skills and Competencies (CSC India) celebrated the extraordinary achievements of educators across the country with the Teachers Day Awards 2024, held virtually to mark the significance of Teachers Day. This national awards ceremony recognized exemplary educators who have made outstanding contributions to the academic field, fostering a culture of innovation, leadership, and excellence in education.

The awards ceremony was honored by the presence of Shri Lalmohan K. S., Director of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Chennai, who delivered an engaging keynote speech emphasizing the transformative role of educators in the development of future generations. He praised the commitment and innovative approaches of the awardees, highlighting their role in preparing students to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.

Further adding to the prestige of the event, esteemed guests such as Dr. Sanjay Vaid, CEO of Invocore, Mr. Amol Bavadekar, Director of Consulting at Oracle, and EMV Prasad G, Director at IBM, shared insights on how education continues to evolve and the importance of fostering leadership within academic institutions.

In partnership with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Wadhwani Foundation, and Wadhwani Entrepreneurship Network, CSC India is driving initiatives to enhance 21st-century employment skills and entrepreneurship development. Through collaborations with the National Internship Portal, AICTE, and MSMEs, CSC India aims to provide internships, funding opportunities, and projects, ensuring that students and educators alike are empowered to succeed in today’s competitive environment. These partnerships reaffirm CSC India’s dedication to bridging the gap between education and industry, creating opportunities for students to develop practical skills that meet the demands of modern industries.

The Teachers Day Awards 2024 featured several distinguished awards, including: outstanding educators were recognized in categories such as Excellence in Leadership and Professional Development, Best Principal / Director Award, Best Teacher of the Year, Excellence in Research Contribution, Innovative Curriculum Developer, and more. The awardees were as below

The prestigious Honorary Fellowship for Academic Achievement presented to

· Dr. T.E. Gopala Krishna Murthy, Principal of Bapatla College of Pharmacy, received the award for his significant contributions to pharmacy education.

· Dr. P.H.V. Sesha Talpa Sai, Dean of R&D at Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, was recognized for his pioneering research work in engineering.

· Dr. Sanjay Vaid, CEO of Invocore and former director at Deloitte, Wipro, and HCL for his significant contributions to management and leadership expertise.

One of the most significant moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the  Outstanding Leadership Legacy Award presented to Dr. K S Narayanaswamy, Registrar, Reva University, Bangalore, and Lifetime Achievement Award for Academic Leadership conferred in recognizing remarkable contributions to the field of education over the years to below

· Dr. M.A.V. Ramakrishna, Deputy Director of Training and Placement at the Department of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh,

· Dr. C.V. Gopinath, Director of MITS Group of Institutions in Odisha,

· Dr. Jaya Suma, Registrar of JNTU-GV Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh

· Dr. V.S.K. Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Malla Reddy University, Hyderabad, and

· Dr. Sumalatha Lingamgunta, Former Registrar of JNTU Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh

These educators were lauded for their dedication to innovation in education and their commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and thinkers. The awards highlight the importance of recognizing excellence in teaching and the invaluable role that educators play in shaping a brighter future for students and society as a whole.

The virtual ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Y.
