Disturbing security camera footage has emerged from Rohini, north Delhi, capturing a frenzied attack on a 16-year-old girl. The shocking video shows the girl being repeatedly stabbed and struck with a stone slab by a man, while passersby witness the assault without intervening.
Tragically, the attack proved fatal, and the girl lost her life. The alleged perpetrator, her boyfriend Sahil, was apprehended by authorities today.
According to the police, the couple had an altercation the previous evening. On Sunday evening, the man attacked the teenager with a knife, stabbing her multiple times. In the footage, the knife can be seen getting stuck at one point, prompting the killer to shake it loose. He then proceeded to strike the girl with a stone slab, repeatedly returning to inflict more harm.
The victim was en route to a birthday party when the assault took place. The police confirmed their prior relationship and stated that the man followed her before carrying out the attack.
Residents alerted the police, who arrived at the scene to discover the girl’s lifeless body surrounded by a pool of blood. Authorities are actively searching for the assailant.
The Chairperson of the Delhi Women’s Panel, Swati Maliwal, has issued a notice to the police regarding the incident. She expressed concern over the lack of intervention by bystanders, emphasizing that Delhi has become increasingly unsafe for women and girls.
The horrifying incident has brought attention to the urgent need for increased safety measures and public vigilance to prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.
