Guntur, Andhra Pradesh:
The Science City of Andhra Pradesh successfully hosted the South India Rocket Challenge, marking a historic milestone as India’s first-ever large-scale student rocket challenge conducted outside the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The event was technically designed and executed by Muskan Aerospace Pvt. Ltd., with Spacekidz India serving as Co-Mentor for the program.

The challenge brought together school and college students from across South India, providing them with a rare opportunity to experience real-world rocketry through hands-on design, fabrication, and launch activities. Under the joint mentorship framework of Muskan Aerospace and Spacekidz India, over 1,000 school teams participated in the Hydro Rocket Challenge, while more than 250 college teams competed in the Chemical Rocket Challenge.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Venkaterlru, CEO of Science City of Andhra Pradesh stated,

“The South India Rocket Challenge is a landmark initiative for science education in the state and the country. Hosting India’s first student rocket challenge outside ISRO reflects our commitment to taking advanced scientific exposure directly to students and nurturing innovation at a young age.”

Muskan Aerospace Pvt. Ltd., as the execution and technical implementation partner, managed the complete operational framework of the event. This included student orientation and training, technical documentation, safety protocols, launch operations, evaluation criteria, and coordination with expert mentors.

Dr Brajesh, Founder of Muskan Aerospace said,

“Our vision was to democratize access to rocketry and aerospace learning. By creating a structured, safe, and scalable platform, we have enabled thousands of students to think, work, and learn like aerospace engineers.”

The event also featured interactions with scientists, aerospace professionals, and academicians, further inspiring students to pursue careers in space science and technology. Strict safety measures were enforced throughout the program, ensuring a secure and disciplined learning environment.

With the successful completion of the South India Rocket Challenge, Science City of Andhra Pradesh reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for scientific innovation, while Muskan Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. and Spacekidz India demonstrated the power of collaborative mentorship in shaping India’s future talents.
