Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching a RS.75 denomination coin on May 28 to commemorate the inauguration of the new Parliament building, according to a press release from the Ministry of Finance. The coin will feature the image of the Parliament Complex.

The obverse face of the coin will display the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar at the center, with the inscription ‘satyamev jayate’ below. On the left periphery, the word ‘bhaarat’ will be written in Devnagri script, and on the right periphery, the word ‘India’ will be written in English.

The reverse face of the coin will bear the image of the Parliament Complex, with the year ‘2023’ written below it, signifying the 75th year of independence.

The coin will be circular with a diameter of 44 mm and will weigh approximately 35 grams. It will have 200 serrations on its edge. The composition of the coin will be 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.

The launch of this special coin is part of the celebrations for the country’s 75th year of independence.
