The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) of the Sports Ministry has given its approval to the proposals of shooters Ganemat Sekhon and Gurjoat Singh to undergo training in Italy under the guidance of foreign coaches. The shooters are part of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and have been selected based on their exceptional performance and potential.
Ganemat Sekhon, who recently clinched the Gold medal in the mixed team event at the ISSF World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, holds the top rank in the Women’s Skeet event in India. She will be training in Bari under the tutelage of Italian coach Piero Genga.
