It has been declared on Monday that Liberia’s presidential election has been won by Joseph Boakai beating former footballer and politician George Weah, said the National Electoral Commission (NEC) after the completing the ballot count.
Joseph Boakai wom with 50.64% of the vote, the 49.36% of the vote for former footballer George Weah, said the David Brown Lansanah, president of the commission told the official. Mr. Weah won with only a 20,567 vote margin.
On Friday evening, George Weah already conceded defect based on the result of more than 99.98 percent of the polling stations.
