India’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic continues as the country recorded 535 new infections, bringing the total number of cases to 4.49 crore (4,49,88,426), according to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry. Encouragingly, the number of active cases has decreased to 6,168 from 6,591, indicating a positive trend in containment efforts.
The recovery rate in India remains commendable, with 98.80% of individuals having successfully recuperated from the disease. A significant number of people, totaling over 4,44,50,404, have overcome the virus, contributing to the nation’s fight against the pandemic. Unfortunately, the death toll has increased to 5,31,854, with five new fatalities reported. Among the recent deaths, three were reconciled by Kerala. The decline in active cases is particularly significant, as they now account for just 0.01% of the total infections in the country.
