Inauguration of ITPO Complex at Pragati maidan

New Delhi,

July 23, 2023:

The wait is finally over as India’s largest MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) destination, the redeveloped ITPO complex in Pragati Maidan, is set to be inaugurated on July 26. The grand venue, owned by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and under redevelopment by state-owned construction company NBCC (India) Ltd since 2017, is now ready to host India’s prestigious G20 leaders’ meetings.

Sprawling over an impressive campus area of approximately 123 acres, the Pragati Maidan Complex stands tall as a symbol of India’s capability to host world-class events on a global scale. Among the top 10 exhibition and convention complexes in the world, the redeveloped and modern IECC complex rivals even colossal names such as the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.

A remarkable highlight of the ITPO complex is found on level 3 of the convention centre, boasting a grand seating capacity of 7,000 individuals. Surpassing even the iconic Sydney Opera House in Australia, which seats approximately 5,500 people, the IECC establishes itself as a venue fit for hosting mega conferences, international summits, and cultural extravaganzas.

The exhibition halls within the complex offer seven innovative spaces for showcasing products, innovations, and ideas, providing an ideal platform for exhibitors and companies to engage with their target audience. These state-of-the-art halls foster business growth and networking opportunities, making the IECC a hub of economic and intellectual exchange.

Adding to its splendor, the IECC features a magnificent amphitheatre capable of seating 3,000 people, equivalent to three PVR theatres combined. This grand amphitheatre is set to host captivating performances, cultural shows, and entertainment events, promising to mesmerize the audience with its enchanting ambiance.

Visitors’ convenience has been given utmost priority at the IECC, reflected in the provision of over 5,500 vehicle parking spaces. The ease of access through signal-free roads ensures that visitors can reach the venue without any hassle, making their overall experience pleasant and hassle-free.

The upcoming inauguration of the redeveloped ITPO complex marks a momentous occasion for India, as it showcases its progress and capacity to host international events at par with global standards. With the G20 Summit just around the corner, the world’s attention will turn to New Delhi, where world leaders will convene to address crucial global issues.

As the ITPO complex opens its doors, the stage is set for India to shine as a beacon of global cooperation and diplomacy. The grandeur of the IECC will not only elevate India’s stature on the world stage but also pave the way for a new era of hosting international events in the country.

The countdown to the inauguration has begun, and the world eagerly awaits to witness history in the making at the ITPO complex in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
