According to the Ministry of Education, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has retained its top position in the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the fifth consecutive year. Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has been ranked as the best university.
IISc Bengaluru secured the second position in the overall category, followed by IIT Delhi. In the engineering category, IIT Madras continued its dominance by securing the top spot for the eighth consecutive year. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay were ranked second and third, respectively.
In the college category, Delhi University’s Miranda House and Hindu College claimed the first and second positions, with Presidency College, Chennai securing the third spot.
IISc Bengaluru was ranked as the best institution for research, while IIT Kanpur was recognized as the best for innovation.
In the field of management, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad was ranked at the top, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode.
For pharmacy, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad secured the first position, with Jamia Hamdard and BITS Pilani ranking second and third, respectively.
In the field of law, the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru claimed the top spot, followed by the National Law University, Delhi, and NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
These rankings reflect the continued excellence and performance of these institutions across various disciplines and highlight their contributions to the education and research landscape in India.
