FoodFox is not just a startup but a feeling that was born from a daily life experience. It was the latemonths of 2019 when the founder of FoodFox, Gurmeet Singh noticed a common problem that you might also face sometimes. He had a nephew who used to go to College everyday and come home desperately screaming for food. Then, he would just eat fast food or packed food such as chips, fries, etc. One day, it caught Gurmeet’s attention and he asked him why he didn’t eat lunch during break.
Then, Gurmeet got a very ordinary yet eye-catching answer from his nephew who told him that the canteens were overcrowded during the break and he couldn’t get enough time to eat a proper meal. Either he could waste his entire lunch time waiting in a line to order food or could just utilize it by doing some rest. Hence, he ended up staying hungry until he returned home.
At the very moment, Gurmeet realised that it wasn’t just about colleges but in fact, it was a universal problem that he could solve. There are not just College going kids but also the corporate employees who are struggling to eat properly due to overcrowded canteens and cafeterias. From Corporate offices to colleges of the biggest Universities, individuals are facing the same problem.
And that’s how he came up with the idea of FoodFox which is a B2B2C Food Ordering platform founded and conceptualised in 2020 by Rohan Deshpande, Raymon Kaur, and Gurmeet Singh. The platform aims to digitise the cafeteria and modernise food experiences for colleges, universities, hospitals & corporate by bringing their
cafeterias & food-courts online. They are the unique first-mover in this domain with a ready app and ongoing traction.
FoodFox saves 30 minutes of unproductive time which is wasted in decision making and waiting for the order. They save 60% of the lunch break and provide human contact free food service. This is not just in customers but as well as employers’ best interests.
While canteens in hospitals, universities, colleges and corporate sectors are overcrowded, they also fail to achieve customer acquisition, provide good quality food and service. Bringing all such problems and people’s eating problems to an end, FoodFox introduces an innovative food platform that digitalises and modernises food experiences. In fact, Food Fox has also been awarded the APAC Insider Business Award for “Most Innovative Campus Food Ordering Platform.
FoodFox offers a very low customer acquisition rate and also promises to achieve individual profitability within a week of new customer acquisition. This unprecedented app just doesn’t reduce the time wasted during breaks but also addresses a huge gap in the food tech space.
The innovative platform has an enormous market place, especially in India given the country’s large population. This is a highly scalable and low cash burn business model which has the potential to serve almost half of India’s public. Additionally, they have come up with the only solution to reduce quequez and wait time.
