During a press conference in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president J.P. Nadda accused the governments of West Bengal, Punjab, Bihar, and Rajasthan of conspiring against the Other Backward Class (OBC) communities by depriving them of their legitimate rights. Nadda referred to a report by the National Commission for Backward Classes, highlighting the violation of OBCs’ constitutional rights and reservation in these states.

He criticized the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal, alleging that it favored Muslims at the expense of OBCs. Nadda claimed that the OBC quota and reservation in West Bengal were being diverted to Muslims, leaving the backward class people without their rightful entitlements.

He expressed concern over the inclusion of 118 Muslim castes out of a total of 179 in the OBC category, suggesting an effort to provide benefits to infiltrators from Bangladesh and Rohingyas. Nadda characterized this as a significant conspiracy, emphasizing the need to address the issue and protect the rights of OBCs.
