New Delhi, May 8, 2023 – The Air India urination case has taken a new turn with the Supreme Court seeking a response from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regarding the incident.

The case pertains to an incident that occurred on May 1, 2023, when an Air India flight from Delhi to New York was delayed due to a passenger allegedly urinating in the aisle of the aircraft. The incident was widely reported in the media, and several passengers on the flight shared their accounts of the incident on social media.

The incident has raised serious questions about the safety and security of passengers on board flights. The Supreme Court has taken note of the incident and has sought a response from the DGCA, which is responsible for regulating civil aviation in India.

The DGCA has been asked to submit a report to the court within two weeks, detailing the steps it has taken to ensure the safety and security of passengers on board flights. The court has also asked the DGCA to provide details of any regulations or guidelines that are in place to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

The Air India urination case has sparked outrage among passengers and the general public, with many calling for stricter regulations and harsher penalties for those who engage in such behaviour on flights. The incident has also highlighted the need for better training and awareness programs for passengers on board flights, to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and the consequences of their actions.

Air India has apologized for the incident and has promised to take appropriate action against the passenger involved. The airline has also stated that it is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its passengers and will work closely with the authorities to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

The Supreme Court’s move to seek a response from the DGCA is a welcome step, and it is hoped that the report submitted by the regulatory body will shed light on the measures being taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The incident serves as a reminder that the safety and security of passengers on board flights should always be a top priority for airlines and regulatory bodies alike.
