in India , the COVID cases have been rising once again. The government has decided to take the precautionary steps into force once again . This is done so that there is no any fresh new COVID wave in India. This time, India wants itself to be properly prepared for any upcoming uncertainties.
The government has now made it compulsory for any passenger flying through some six countries. They are China ,Singapore ,Japan ,Hong Kong , Thailand and south Korea. the travellers who fly through these countries will have to take RT- PCR test and upload their reports on the Indian government’s Air Suvidha portal. It was discontinued last month . This process is compulsory for passengers to take .
The health ministry stated in a statement ” This is being done in the view of the evolving COVID-19 situation across the world particularly in the aforesaid countries”
The health ministry also added that the test should be taken within 72 hours of travel in India. Passengers will be required to put in quarantine if they showed any symptoms related to COVID. Tests have already been started to get conducted in the airports.
Recently India has been witnessing rise in the COVID cases . Around the world, China has been seeing a rapid increase in the COVID cases with a new variant of corona virous named as BF.7 , a sub variant. The center has also emphasized to the state governments to come up with new guidelines to fight of any possibilities of the new wave of the pandemic. Earlier the country had relaxed its compulsion to wear masks which has again been imposed.
The BF.7 variant of corona virus has been prevalent in Asian countries , which is a BA.5.2.1.7 mutation of omicron BA.5.
In China, there have been some of the controversial policies imposed for keeping the cases of corona under control. The authorities are placing total lockdowns if there are any reported cases . Also there has been a viral video showing that the authorities have been locking the people inside their homes in the localities where COVID cases are recorded.
