A Dada-Dadi Nana-Nani Samman Ceremony was organized at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir located at Patratu Thermal. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and worshiping Mother India by the chief guest, agricultural policy scientist and Central University professor Dr. Shashank Kulkarni, school president Manoj Sahu and principal Surendra Kumar Pathak. The stage was conducted by Acharya Suman Sinha.

In the introduction of the program, Acharya Uday Kumar Mishra said that this honor program shows his reverence and respect towards his elders. That is why every year Vidya Bharati celebrates it in its schools across the country. Chief guest agricultural policy scientist and Assistant Professor of Jharkhand Central University Dr. Shashank Kulkarni addressed all the grandparents present in the program and said that in Indian culture, grandparents have always had the highest place in the family. In our house, grandparents are the walking universities of knowledge. We should understand their importance. The Indian tradition of knowledge is moving forward from one generation to the other on their strength and will move forward in the future. In this context, such programs are very important. Other schools of the country should also take inspiration from this. In the era of modernity, even though the size of the family is getting smaller, the absence of grandparents in the family is still felt. In the village, grandparents not only take care of the children but also instill good values in them. But in cities, this becomes very difficult. There, parents leave their children in the care of caretakers who only take care of the children’s food and drink.

After the speech of the chief guest, the children washed the feet of the guests present and took their blessings by performing aarti. All the guests were honored by the officials present by providing towels. Jayanandan Sharma, grandfather of class 10th Bhaiya Aryan, said that he is very happy to be present in the program. He became emotional and said that he remembered his childhood when his grandfather used to play with him in his lap and take him to school. He appreciated the program organized by the school. Secretary Suraj Prasad addressed the gathering and said that just as a banyan tree can provide shade to the entire village, grandparents play the same role in the house. They are a vast ocean of experience and a lot can be learnt from them.

Principal Surendra Kumar Pathak thanked the grandparents and the chief guest and said that such programs are organized in schools across the country run by Vidya Bharti. Vidya Bharti is committed to inculcating values in children and organizes such programs every year. About 70 grandparents including President Manoj Sahu, Secretary Suraj Prasad, Joint Secretary Sanjit Kumar, Principal Surendra Kumar Pathak, Acharya Uday Kumar Mishra, Suman Sinha, Nutan Singh, Jyoti Kumari were present in the program.
