The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a protest in Jaipur, led by State president C.P. Joshi and party State in-charge Arun Singh, to denounce the alleged institutional corruption and exam paper leaks occurring under the Congress government. The demonstration, which saw the participation of BJP leaders and workers, involved a march from the party’s State headquarters to the State Secretariat, where the protesters were met with water cannons deployed by the police to disperse them.
The gathering aimed to highlight the prevailing corruption in the recovery of money and gold from Yojana Bhawan and the consistent leaks of recruitment exam question papers, which the BJP argues is detrimental to the future of the state’s youth.
Mr. Joshi called for the removal of the current government in the upcoming Assembly election, citing the need to address the high levels of corruption. Mr. Singh accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of being aware of corruption within his Cabinet but failing to take action against the guilty individuals. Additionally, BJP’s Rajya Sabha Member Kirodi Lal Meena hinted at a forthcoming exposure of a major mining scam in the state, further intensifying the party’s criticism of the ruling Congress government.
