A special court has denied an application filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to revoke the bail granted to comedian Bharti Singh and her husband in a drug case from 2020. Singh and her husband, Harsh Limbachiya, were arrested by the NCB for alleged possession of ganja and were subsequently granted bail by a magistrate court the following day.

The NCB challenged the bail order, claiming that they were unable to oppose the plea due to the absence of their special public prosecutor and investigating officer.

However, the special court stated that the prosecution had failed to avail the opportunity to file a reply during the magistrate court proceedings. The court deemed the bail order to be legal and acknowledged that there were no allegations of bail violations by Singh or Limbachiya. The decision brings relief to Bharti Singh and her husband in the ongoing drug case.
