PM Modi celebrates 9 years of service

In a tweet marking the completion of nine years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude and humility, stating that every decision made and action taken during this period was aimed at improving the lives of the people. The Prime Minister’s tweet highlighted the commitment of the government to building a developed India, emphasizing the dedication to service.

Under the banner of “9YearsOfSeva,” the BJP has launched a month-long “special contact campaign” across the nation, starting today. The party aims to showcase the achievements of the government over the past nine years and engage with the citizens on various issues.

During this tenure, the BJP-led government claims to have witnessed unprecedented development in all sectors, adhering to the principle of “nation first.” The party’s official statement stressed that the all-round progress achieved under the government has garnered global recognition, with leading economists and analysts acknowledging India as a key player in the 21st century.

Notably, on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building, which he described as a “temple of democracy.” The event took place amidst a boycott by opposition parties. PM Modi also took the opportunity to honor some of the workers involved in the construction of the iconic structure.

It is worth mentioning that Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister for the first time on May 26, 2014. After securing a resounding victory in the general elections, he took the oath of office for his second term on May 30, 2019.

The nine-year tenure of the Modi-led government has witnessed several significant reforms and initiatives across various sectors, including infrastructure development, social welfare schemes, digitalization, and foreign policy. Some of the key accomplishments highlighted by the government include the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (financial inclusion program), the Swachh Bharat Mission (cleanliness campaign), and the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (self-reliant India initiative).

Critics, however, have pointed out challenges and areas needing improvement, such as unemployment rates, farmer distress, and social tensions. The government has faced criticism and protests over certain policy decisions, including the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the BJP embarks on its special contact campaign, it aims to engage with the public, listen to their concerns, and communicate the government’s vision for the future. The campaign provides an opportunity for the ruling party to reflect on its achievements, address criticisms constructively, and gather feedback to shape its policies for the remaining tenure.

With India’s political landscape gearing up for future challenges and opportunities, the completion of nine years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership represents a significant milestone. The government’s emphasis on development, people’s welfare, and a vision for a prosperous India will continue to shape the national discourse as the nation moves forward.
