PM Modi shares video of new parliament building

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled a video offering a glimpse of the new Parliament building, set to be inaugurated on May 28, along with a “special request” to the citizens of India. In the video, PM Modi urged people to reshare it with their own voice-over, expressing their thoughts about the remarkable structure that will replace the iconic circular building. He also encouraged the use of the hashtag “#MyParliamentMyPride” while posting the videos.

The video footage showcases a stunning blend of modernity and traditional Indian architectural elements. The design of the new Parliament building seamlessly incorporates elements from India’s rich history and culture, paying homage to the country’s artistic heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics. Intricate detailing, ornate carvings, and patterns adorn the building’s exterior, reflecting the nation’s proud heritage.

The prime minister’s call to the citizens to actively participate in sharing their voice-overs reflects his belief in the collective pride and ownership Indians should feel towards the new Parliament complex. By involving the people in expressing their thoughts, PM Modi aims to foster a sense of national unity and engagement in the democratic process.

Following PM Modi’s request, several prominent BJP leaders, including union ministers and chief ministers, took to social media to share the video using the hashtag “#MyParliamentMyPride.” Union Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed his pride, emphasizing the monumental achievement of completing India’s own Parliament building in record time. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hailed the new building as a symbol of India’s power and pride, crediting PM Modi for his unwavering commitment to delivering this monumental icon to the nation. Union Minister Anurag Thakur described the new Parliament building as a testament to India’s progressive vision, a symbol of strength, unity, and democracy that will shape the country’s future.

However, amid the enthusiasm and support for the new Parliament building, some voices of dissent have emerged. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar commented on the opposition’s decision to boycott the launch, stating that there should be a limit to politics. The opposition parties’ decision not to participate in the inauguration ceremony highlights the ongoing political divide in the country.

As the new Parliament building prepares for its grand inauguration on May 28, the nation eagerly anticipates the commencement of a new chapter in Indian democracy. The architectural marvel stands as a testament to India’s progress and aspirations, embodying the resolve of its 1.4 billion people and their vision of a brighter future. The completion of this monumental icon signifies a significant milestone in the country’s journey towards a modern and prosperous India.

With the citizens actively participating in sharing their voice-overs, the collective pride and ownership of the new Parliament building will be amplified. By involving the people, PM Modi aims to reinforce the notion that democracy is not merely the responsibility of elected representatives, but a shared commitment by every Indian. The new Parliament building is poised to become a symbol of unity, strength, and democracy, encapsulating the aspirations and dreams of a nation on the path to progress.
