The Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, announced that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has successfully provided jobs to over 29,000 young individuals in the state. These job placements were purely based on merit, ensuring that deserving candidates were given opportunities for employment.

During a gathering where appointment letters were handed over to 144 civilian support staff in various divisions of the Bureau of Investigation in Punjab Police, Chief Minister Mann emphasized the importance of updating the police force to meet the evolving challenges in the fields of investigation, science, and technology. He expressed pride and satisfaction in the fact that Punjab Police is considered the best force in the country.

Mann also revealed that Punjab will soon collaborate with Google to enhance the state police’s capabilities in scientific methodologies. A comprehensive blueprint has already been prepared, and the formal agreement is expected to be signed in the near future. The government is dedicated to transforming police stations across the state by allocating resources and improving infrastructure, including vehicles, weapons, and other essential equipment.

The Chief Minister praised the Punjab Police for their team efforts in maintaining law and order in the state. He assured them that the government would not allow anyone to demoralize the force. Given that Punjab is a border state, it faces numerous challenges, but the police have efficiently handled them. Mann highlighted the government’s commitment to the welfare of police personnel who diligently carry out their duties.

In addition to the jobs already provided, the Chief Minister announced that the state government has decided to recruit 1,800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors annually in the Punjab Police for the next four years. This recruitment initiative aims to strengthen scientific investigation within the police force.

Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, described the job placements as a groundbreaking initiative that would enhance scientific investigation capabilities in Punjab Police. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mann for distributing the appointment letters and offering blessings to the newly inducted civilian support staff.

The AAP government’s focus on merit-based job placements and its efforts to strengthen the Punjab Police reflect its commitment to effective governance and the welfare of the state’s residents. These initiatives aim to improve law enforcement and ensure the safety and security of Punjab’s citizens.
